Where do Canadians draw the line? Save Our Water is drawing the line at groundwater being extracted cheaply and sold expensively. We are drawing the line at a finite natural resource being pulled from under our feet by the world’s largest food company. We are drawing the line for our kids and their kids. Because what BlueTriton does might be legal, but it’s not right.

WATER IS A PUBLIC TRUST. it IS nOT FOR SALE.

The recently enacted municipal veto on new permits for water bottlers in Ontario is great news!

But there is a threshold to that veto. In Centre Wellington a bottler could still apply to remove 379,000 litres of groundwater every day from the Middlebrook well.

We agree with our municipal Council that Centre Wellington is not a willing host community to ANY new permits for water taken for bottling. Save Our Water still says NO.
